Putting Together This Year's Vidshows

Please rec me slashy or otherwise queer (broadly defined) vids to music in the top 40 of the last two years. I am particularly looking for Lady Gaga and/or Ke$ha (sp? Can you incorrectly spell something spelled so egregiously?). Also, I am looking for accessible source, but that's negotiable. However, I already have vids for the following fandoms, and I'm trying not to repeat: Supernatural, Battlestar Galactica, Merlin, Star Trek, Highlander, Xena, Smallville, White Collar, Stargate: Atlantis, Lord of the Rings, Sara Connor Chronicles, Harry Potter, Buffy, Hercules.

So, top 40 music to none of those fandoms - if anyone has an awesome Inception/Dark Knight slash vid to Bad Romance, that would be perfect.

So, nothing too difficult, then ;p

That is a v cool vid that another friend of mine also recommended, but it is not particularly queer (that I could tell?) - so two out of three, but that third part is a deal breaker since the event is titled "queering the screen." Thank you for pointing it out, though. I have now saved it for my own future enjoyment :)

Is Adam Lambert top 40 enough? You're certainly welcome to "If I Had You" (Legend of the Seeker) if you'd like it. All the others I can think of off the top of my head are already on your list. *g*

That is a possibility! I will think about it. As I mentioned to hederahelix, I'm asking for permission to include the Adam vid "Tightrope" this year, so I don't know if including another vid with his music would be too much Adam. On the other hand, is there such a thing as too much Adam?

The source material in this is a little old, but there's "3" from Talithia (It's a Fastlane threesome vid to Britney Spears's "3.") And while they likely don't know Fastlane, chances are good the Twilight fans will know Peter F. and the White Collar fans will know Tiffany A. T.

There's Party in the Midlands for a show (Legend of the Seeker) that I don't know to Miley Cyrus's song. (Don't let the Miley Cyrus part put you off. The vid is a lot of fun.)

Another Legend of the Seeker Vid (this one to Adam Lambert's "If I Had You") over here.

(All of these are from Bascon's vid show this year. They had some other queer vids, but they don't meet the top 40 requirement.)

As for Lady Gaga, you do remember Astolat's Adam Lambert vid to "Beautiful, Dirty, Rich," right? The song didn't hit top 40, but it is Lady Gaga.

I'm planning to ask permission to include the Adam vid Tightrope this year, so I don't know if I should include any other Adam. On the other hand, what are my professorly powers for if not to indulge myself occasionally? ;) I'll think it over.

How about astolat's Pon de Replay Entourage vid? It's a tad more than two years but top 40 and a fandom you don't have yet (plus, it's such a fun vid :)


Butterfly's STR Circus maybe? Though not really that slashy (except where all Kirk/Spock is :)

... Pon de Replay was top 40? See this is the other part of my problem - I don't actually listen to top 40 radio, so I have no idea what I'm looking for. But I will take your word for it!

I *do* want Lady Gaga! I do, I do! (and I always want Adam, but I may already have an Adam vid in the show). But yes, it is hard. I have so much respect for all vidshow organizers after doing this a few times. There are so many different variables that go into creating a balanced set list.
