10 Things I've Done, That You Might Not Have

I Have:

1. Chased a black squirrel through downtown Ottawa with a camera. (Yes, thus the name)

2. Eaten a pigeon.lolaraincoat and idlerat

3. Stood *in* the ruins of King James the IV of Scotland's fireplace at Linlithgow Palace.

4. Helped (as much as a 8 year old can, which pretty much entails staying quite) Central American refugees evade deportation by getting them to Canada.

5. Choreographed cymbal tai chi into my senior marching band show. (yes, I did go to band camp, no, I didn't have anything to do with flutes, and yes, I do really start stories with "So this one time, at band camp . . .")

6. Gone swimming in Lake Superior. For longer than 5 minutes.

7. Sold Campfire candy to a state representative.

8. Ridden a train sandwiched in with the Tartan Army, and, on another occasion, the German Army.

9. Slept in a room with two complete strangers for non-fannish reasons.lolaraincoat and idlerat

10. Started grad school before I could legally drink alcohol (which made it quite awkward when the last class period of my first semester was held in a bar).sylvanwitch

PS - am starting to feel either very boring or very uncreative as I can't think of replacements for the things other people have done. Now, if marainsanity weren't on my f-list I'd have considerably more to work with as most of the wacky things I've done, I've done with her.

Any tips on writing a college recommendation letter? A student of mine from last term is applying to transfer and I have to have in in the mail asap.
